# Clear License Keys

> Removes all items from a variant.
Requires the `stores.products.update` permission.

<Warning>
  **This wipes every license key on the variant, permanently.** There is no undo
  and no way to recover the keys afterwards - keep your own copy before calling
  it.

  On a variant using Calculated stock, this also drops its stock to zero, so the
  product stops selling immediately.
