# Close Ticket

> Closes the given ticket.
Requires the `stores.tickets.delete` permission.

<Warning>
  **Closed and Resolved are final states.** Neither you nor the customer can
  reopen a closed ticket - they have to open a new one, losing the thread's
  context. Reply instead if the conversation is still live.
