# Refund Order

> Refunds a delivered order for a customer in the admin dashboard.
Requires the `stores.orders.refund` permission.

<Warning>
  **Refunds move real money and cannot be undone.** Only **Delivered** orders can
  be refunded, always for the **full amount** - there are no partial refunds.

  A successful refund also reverses any affiliate commission and the Buyer
  Protection accrual on that order.

  For cryptocurrency, custom payment methods, Cash App and PayPal Friends &
  Family, marking an order refunded **moves no money** - you must return the
  funds yourself. Those methods can only refund to customer balance.
